Anna Valieva

Anna Valieva was born in 1984 in Kyiv, Ukraine, into a family of sculptors. She graduated from the State School named after Taras Shevchenko in 2002 and subsequently enrolled in the Department of Painting at the Kyiv National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture. There, she studied monumental painting under N.A. Storozhenko until 2008. During her studies, Anna began to develop her individual artistic style, experimenting with various materials such as canvas, coal, oil, and metal. She refined her technique by incorporating padding polyester and enamel. Since 2006, Anna has been a scholar at the National Academy and the Natalya and Ernest Gulak Foundation. In 2008, she became a member of the Artists’ Union of Ukraine. That same year, she received an award from the mayor of Kyiv in recognition of her significant contributions to the development of the city, highlighting her impact as a young artist.
